Thanks for checking out my new weekly series Week in Review!
1) What blog should you check out?
What’s for Dinner Moms? posts daily family friendly recipes. By that I mean it is real food a real family is sitting down to eat. It’s REAListic recipes for putting meals on the table for your family. Plus she has been posting a bunch of stuff perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. You can check out the blog’s new youtube channel to see clips of her daughter performing Irish dances with her dance troupe or check out her recipe for St. Patrick’s Day Cookie Bars.
2) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Daylight freakin savings that’s what. Who’s phone died while she was sleeping Saturday night? So who forgot to change the clocks Sunday morning? So who got her kids ready and walked into church an hour late? ME! Also it’s felt like I am leaving to go for work in the middle of the night. The moon is still high in the sky in the morning! How can 1 hour feel like such a big difference?
3) What’s been going on this week?
In preparation for St. Patrick’s Day we’ve been learning about Ireland. After looking at a map and pictures of the country, the kids decided they were most interested in the castles and taking a cruise ship to visit there. We have also read St. Patrick’s Day books at the library and done a few Irish dance tutorials.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
We are having a kid friendly St. Patrick’s Day party tonight. We will probably make some crafts and show off our new dance skills. I am still decided on the meal, but I know we will be having Irish soda bread and mashed potatoes.
5) Did you miss this post?
Monday I posted about a good way to use up the heels of bread loaves that nobody eats by making Homemade Croutons.
How was your week? Are you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day today?
Thanks for reading,
Happy St Patrick’s Day Lacey 🙂

Pleasure. We do in a small way, wear green, I make Irish Soda Bread and enjoy a good old Irish Stew. I am not into whiskey, so that is out, but we stay at home and enjoy a nice family evening together 🙂

I’m not into whisky either. Like at all. But your family dinner sounds perfect. Seriously perfect!
