Week in Review 4/21/17

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

First Woman To Wear A Boston Bib Races Again, 50 Years Later.

I can be indignant at times. Whether it is fair for me to feel that way or not, images and stories like this are an important reminder that not that long ago woman had many more reasons to feel that way than I do now.

 

2) What blog should you check out?

Midwestern Plants. Ilex, the Midwest Plant Girl, lives in Illinois, has a degree in horticulture (along with other certifications), and you guessed it, blogs mostly about  Midwestern plants. She is also a Border Collie owner and overall outdoor explorer. Since it’s spring time she will have a lot of interesting stuff to post about I am sure.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

It’s my no plans weekend. We had the very BEST Easter. We went and went and went some more. There was plenty of family, food, playing, egg hunts, bouncy castles, and church all weekend long. My son and nephew even made the front page of the Tuttle Times! By the end I was one tired (but also happy) mama.

This week I’ve been keeping a migraine and sore throat at bay (maybe due to season changes/allergies?). So because of that and because last weekend was so busy, I want to just catch up on stuff around the house and take it easy.
