I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.

 

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Ed Sheeran and Game of Thrones? Yeah I was totally excited for Game of Thrones to finally premiere. Yeah I was surprised to see Ed Sheeran as a Lanister solider singing around the campfire. Did it take me out of the show for a minute? Yes. Did it ruin the show for me? Nope. Apparently though there have been some VERY strong opinions about this cameo. Did you mind or even recognize who it was?

2) What blog should you check out?

Inspire the Mom. Jessica is an easy going and faithful mom of 3 that resides in the Pacific Northwest. Her blog is filled with down to earth posts and beautiful photography. Check it out.

3) What’s been going on this week?

Getting back into the groove. I had 9 days off work the week before last. During that time we stayed up late, slept in, played hard, and unplugged. It was amazing. Even though I returned to work rested and ready, it has taken me a little while to get caught up and back on schedule.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

A birthday party. My son is turning 5. I repeat, my son is turning 5. His birthday is Monday, but we are having his party on Saturday.

Some birthdays come and go just as celebrations. Other times they may hit me a little harder. For whatever reason this one is hitting a little harder. Time is a tricky, tricky thing.  It seems to stand still while days are happening and rob me when looking back. I can’t believe my sweet lil guy is 5.

  1. Great wrap up Lacey– I feel like I’m the only one left who doesn’t watch Game os Thrones!! (need to get with it?) Checked on Jessica’s blog– it is a great one– loved posts on garage sales and Mothering. And so glad for your break! Sounds like you got the most out of it! AND– happy birthday to your little guy!! Absolutely love the train number picture!! so cute. Hope the party’s a blast!! xox

    1. I don’t know. Game of Thrones is intense. I think I tend to like shows that are heavy on the plot development it is choke full of sex and violence too :/

      I loved that garage sale post too 🙂

      I hope your shower is a big success. Now I am hungry for cake 🙂

      1. HI Lacey– the shower was so fun– my nephew is an L.A. sheriff so a lot of his sheriff friends (& wives) came as well as family– Lots of crazy games and good conversations… How was the birthday party??! xoxox
