I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Tangle Teezer. After reading this post about Tangle Teezers I immediately ordered one. This mom swears that Tangle Teezers eliminated the terrors of brushing her daughters’ hair. I am open to trying anything on that front. I don’t know if this thing is a comb or a brush or why it works. I will tell you though that it is pure “magic”, as described by my 3 year old daughter. It works. No more tears. No more “Mommy that hurts.” No more running from the brush. This. Is. Awesome.
2) What blog should you check out?
Happily Abi. If you are looking for a bright, upbeat blog to add to your feed, look no further. Abi’s Christian blog is a comfortable space where you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Expect to read about a wide variety of fun topics. Think motivational posts plus s’mores recipes plus European vacation pics. Check it out.
3) What’s been going on this week?
Fishing. Recently I wrote about how it has been in the triple digits here in Oklahoma, but this week has cooled off. Since afternoon temps have been in the 80s, my parents watched the kiddos one evening so the hubs and I could sneak off for a fishing date. We didn’t have a whole lot of luck, but we did get a few peaceful hours alone. It was nice.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
Nothing. Next week my son starts school. The weekend after is my daughter’s birthday party. Plus the weather forecast says it is going to be cool and rainy this weekend. So I think we will have a cozy weekend at home full of cooking and reading and watching movies. It may not be a super summer-y way to end the summer, but right now it sounds perfect.
5) Did you miss this post?
Truths About Being a Breadwinning Mama. I avoided writing about this topic for awhile because it’s taken me so long to adjust. It was hard at first, but I am glad we make it work.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? Tell me, what are you up to this weekend?

Thanks for checking out her blog, Rhonda!
Ugh the weekend was a bust. I fought another migraine the whole time.
We had Back to School Night last night, and then he starts Friday. Do you know why they start on Friday? That seems so weird to me….
Are you still on your adventures?

Hi Lacey– Yep, Friday school does sound odd. Just get everyone geared up for school and then the weekend! And sorry about the migraine. Do you have any meds or something to help?? That can take over your weekend for sure. and– yep, we are still in Wisconsin– sent our last kids home yesterday and are meeting up with dear friends here ’til Tuesday. Loving the sunny days and all the green green countryside. xo

Thanks for the Friday feedback. I feel like we are doing the first day routine all again tomorrow.
I do have meds, but they have not been touching this most recent rounds of migraines. So weird!
Oh I’m glad you get to stay and hang out with friends. It sounds SO lovely.

Lacey– oh gosh, do think there is some other mediation that could help?? It is so consuming, dealing with a migraine. Hope you are back to your spunky self. xo

It’s kind of a trial and error process. I did find one but then my insurance didn’t cover it, and it was going to be like $900!

Yes it’s so stupid. I am hoping these are weather induced and will be over soon.
