I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Hurricane Harvey. The devastation happening to our neighbors is overwhelming. NPR posted an extensive list of ways we can help that you can click here for. Also, it’s been reported that relief packages do not include diapers or wipes. The City Moms Blog Network is selling shirts and totes that you can click here for. 100% of funds raised will go to the Texas diaper bank.

2) What blog should you check out?
Mollie Mom of Three. Mollie is another fellow Oklahoma City Moms Blog Contributor that I am excited to highlight. She is a former school teacher turned stay-at-home mom to 3 kids under 5! She is a warm and welcoming extrovert all about authenticity. She posts recipes, design ideas, thoughts on marriage and more. Check it out.
3) What’s been going on this week?
Looking forward. Work has been busy. We had the second full week of school for my son, and I am just a touch more tired everyday than I should be. Since it’s September, Happy September by the way, I am day dreaming of time not so far away from now. This week I have been looking forward to Fall. Bad.
It will be a time at home when everyone is settled into the new school routine and schedule. The air outside will be crisp but comfortable. There will be a ton of soup and chili on the stove top. I can’t wait. Honestly, I have to partially blame it on college football starting this weekend and all the pumpkin spice items appearing in the store.

4) What’s going on this weekend?
Birthday parties and cookouts. We have a few family and friends with both these things this weekend. We are going to try to hit as many as we can. Maybe one day this weekend I’ll get to sleep in? Fingers and toes crossed.
5) Did you miss this post?
A Very Pink Flamingo Day. We had a birthday celebration last weekend for one very special little lady 🙂
Thanks for reading. How was your week? Tell me, what are you up to this weekend?

And baby formula is needed as well big time.

Hey Lacey– thanks for the NPR list– great idea to pass that around. We have a nephew and his wife in Houston, but they were able to get by with minimal damage. So we’ve been keeping up with them and praying. Good to be able to help. Is your cookout for Labor Day?? Have fun!

Oh my goodness I will pray for them too. So glad they were able to get out. There have been too many stories of those that couldn’t.
Yes! It was a good time with family. How was your Labor Day Weekend?

Aww Lacey, what great photos! Sounds like you have a fun weekend in store. 🙂 🙂
Your kids are so adorable. Hope your son had a good first few weeks at school!
I’m running a half marathon on Sunday (tomorrow). It’s been pretty hot here, though it’s early so I should be fine. I have a strong physique!!! Plus, it’s really fun to run …. like a neat challenge. Other than that, I may look at some places to live. I did a lot on that this past week and am feeling a little run down from it all right now. So resting today, taking care of Debbie.
Love Love Love to you Lacey! ❤ Take good care of you.

Wha?!? A half marathon? How did it go? That is SO impressive Debbie. I think I am in decent shape but then would have a hard time completing a 5k! lol
And just as importantly, did you get rest too?

Hi Lacey– I know. Sometimes it’s really good, helpful to go back to an old post and remember what life was like then. And you have so many real, thoughtful posts to look back on… And- yep Otto is a doll– and really squirmy!! xox
