I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Trading Treasures. They do home consignment events in Midwest City, OK at the community center. Lucky us, there is one going on this weekend. I stopped by and got some brand spanking new bake ware, a little dipper mini crock pot, and a new necklace. All of that was about $20 bucks. There was plenty of furniture, patio sets, home goods, toys, clothes and more. I may have to go back for a lego table and TV I saw. . . .
I also signed up to be on their email list to sell items to. Doesn’t that sound easier than having a garage sale or selling stuff online?
Check out their website here.
Follow their Facebook page here.
Go visit them this weekend at 200 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73110.
2) What blog should you check out?
Nextdoorchic. Follow along as Ore provides us with practical beauty and lifestyle tips. You may find her posts about updating your shoes or about cell phone hacks useful. My personal favorite though is about her homemade honey and sugar facial scrub. Check it out.
***If you want your blog highlighted on a Week in Review post, leave a link in the comments here.
3) What’s been going on this week?
Enjoying a short week. Over Labor Day weekend we had a good mix of parties and rest. I returned to a busy 4 day work week that has flown by. In fact, all week I had no clue what day it was! Today is Friday, right?
4) What’s going on this weekend?
A wedding. Even though it’s happening at the exact same time the Sooners are taking on the Buckeyes, I’m still excited to get all dolled up to go see my niece get hitched this Saturday. Congratulations to Brittany and Taylor (and also Boomer Sooner)!
5) Did you miss this post?
I thought I didn’t want a daughter. This is an older post but has been on my mind since celebrating my daughter’s birthday recently. I think it’s worth a revisit.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? Tell me, what are you up to this weekend?
– Lacey

Ooooh! A new consignment place for me to check out. I love thrift/antique/consignment places. Have you ever checked out Clothes Mentor? I don’t hardly ever shop wholesale anymore. That place is INCREDIBLE.

They have an Instagram. I’m talking good quality, high end stuff for cheap prices. I’ve bought a Coach purse there for $40 once. Michael Kors heels for $16! There’s one on I-240 & one in Edmond. Incredible deals!!

Aw, puppy snuggles.
And yeah, I get itchy at the thought of used stuff, but that sale looks pretty friendly.

I used to be that way too Jay. But my kids break and destroy EVERYTHING. So till they are a bit older, I’m not buying anything new if I can help it.
And Dixie Dog is the best for puppy snuggles 🙂

I remember that having a girl post Lacey!! Now I know you’re glad! She’s the dearest! And that home consignment idea sounds great! You’re right– so much easier than having a garage sale!! And stuff gets reused. And –don’t you wish every work week was 4 days– more civilized!! Always fun to read your posts!! How was the wedding?? (and did you tape the football game??) I love family weddings– so a happy time together… xo

Oh Rhonda, she is just the best. We went to the wedding (which was beautiful), and she danced to EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. at the reception. So fun. I love her to pieces. I caught clips of the game and the final score. How was your weekend?

Sounds like one of those lovely fun weddings Lacey! Glad you got a bit of the game in! We drove up to Ojai (2+ hours) for our grand-girls birthday party– lot of splashy kids in the pool– it was a fun day and I liked getting to see her with all her school friends… hugs hugs!

Oh yes I bet bday parties are a whole different experience when it stops being just the cousins and family friends. That would be neat to see, her with her friends.
