Week in Review 12/22/17

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi. No spoilers here, but my husband and I went and saw it in the fancy pants Directors Suite of the Warren Theaters this week. That was the best part of the movie, where we saw it.

After the Force Awakens I was pumped for this trilogy. But for me, this movie fell flat. We were set up for some backstories and questions to be answered. Instead what we got was unnecessary plot twists, unnecessary new characters and a disregard for old characters. We were disappointed. Have you seen it? What did you think?

2) What blog should you check out?

Secrets Will Kill You. Florence is a medical student in Rwanda who blogs about mental health, medicine, and life. It’s an encouraging blog that asks us to rise above illnesses and tell our stories because our secrets keep us sick. Check it out.

3) What’s been going on this week?

A diamond. About a year and a half ago the stone came out of my wedding ring. Insurance didn’t cover it on a technicality, and I didn’t find it after days of retracing my steps. But the hubs surprised me with a new stone! I don’t wear a lot a jewelry, but I sure have missed my ring.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

Christmas 2 of 4 and 3 of 4. The holiday whirlwind continues! I’ll be taking a blog break till after the new year to focus on the fam. Look for a blog-anniversary link party in early January though. I am going to ask everyone to share a link to their favorite post from 2017. I’ll also share those links in my Week in Review posts.

5) Did you miss this post?

5 Best (and possibly underrated) Christmas Movies. What are your favorite holiday movies?
