It’s a Birthday/Blog Anniversary Meet and Greet! Drop your best link from 2017 in the comments.

You know what would make your entire week better? Being a part of a birthday/blog anniversary meet and greet! That’s right. It’s my birthday week, and the anniversary of my blog is the week after. So we are going to celebrate.

Below I have listed my favorite posts I have written over the last year. Not the posts with the most views or comments or likes, but my favorites. (Click the title to read the posts.)  I’d like to ask you to participate too. How does it work?

  • Introduce yourself, your blog, and/or your post in the comments.
  • Include a link to your favorite post from your blog in the last year, and check out the links others leave.
  • Feel free to leave more than 1 link, 1 per comment though.
  • Feel free to share on social media or reblog, this post or any that you find in the comments.
  • Come back and keep checking out the comments. I’d be fun to keep this going all week. I think I’ll wrap it up Friday.
  • I’ll highlight a link a week in my Week in Review series.

  1. WoW Lacey!! I’m excited because it’s your birthday sometime this week. Have a super birthday and thanks for inviting us!! 🙂
I’m Radhika and I am basically into light humorous blogs….. My take on it is – we have enough stress and tensions in our life as it is, so why not look at it in a humorous way??? 🙂

  2. Thank You Lacey. I met you at a blog party and am glad to be part of your party today. Have a wonderful birthday and wishing you many more blogging years ahead.
My blog is DeepAsThoughts. I believe any person is as deep or as shallow as his/her thoughts. I love writing about anything that inspires me and I get inspired by anything from a butterfly to the stars to a pineapple to a porcupine. One of my favorite posts is :

    Pineapple Porcupine and Me!

    Hope you enjoy reading it.

  3. Happy birthday to Lacey sometime this week! I hope you have a great birthday filled with happy times. 🙂

Thank you for this opportunity as I love the chance to meet new bloggers, discover other blogs etc. I will also reblog this post for you as it’s nice to get everyone to join in the fun. The more the better, right?!

My name is not literally Aspie Rude Girl, my husband nicknamed me as a joke early on in our relationship as rude, and as a female with Asperger Syndrome came the idea for my name. You can call me Rude if you want though, or Jamie. Haha

I just turned 30 yesterday (I literally just realized our birthdays are close together Lacey and we are both winter babies. Woot!) and I have asperger syndrome, some other associated disorders and have struggled throughout my life with mental illness. It has all made me a stronger person though and makes me who I am. I am not down on myself about any of it. It is just positive, negative, good times, bad times etc that is my main focus of my blog to give you a kinda quick summary. However, the more my blog grows so as my topics. I do little ideas to help readers get to know me more, I share a ton of music (too much honestly. It is a bad habit) I review video games, movies, tv shows or what have you and want to do more book reviews in the future. My blog is just not one thing but the main focus is to write about my adventures with things like autism, and discover more about myself. Here is a link to one of my favorite blogs I wrote and it got a lot of positive feedback. I have many favorites though, my blog is random enough one post doesn’t define my whole blog, I am working on being more organized however. Haha I just chose this one because it was a favorite of mine and the feedback I remember being really appreciated of it, and really inspired me that I did the right thing by creating a blog, as this post was difficult to write.

I look forward to checking out everyone’s blog here, and if you make it over to my blog leave a like or two/comment or even a follow I will return the support and love.

    Happy blogging everyone!

    1. Jamie, happy birthday and welcome! I’ve always said ,’I do what I want,’ when t comes to my blog because the topic range is broad. Sounds like you do that too. I’m heading over to check out your post now. I appreciate you sharing!

      1. Thank you! Yes the topic range in blogging can be broad, and as humans we are complex-ed so there are so many topics to write about! 🙂

  4. Hello everyone. Thank you for the opportunity/invite, Lacey to say hello to whoever is interested! 🙂

My name is Tim (or Crazywriterof6), you can find me here, https://crazywriterof6.wordpress.com

A large part of my blog was to share and express myself in the writing I have done in my life so far.
A lot of therapy writing, romance, depression… Cancer problems and issues.
I am basically using my blog as a big therapy session! lol… I find myself writing and sharing a lot of my romance poetry to my wife and sharing a lot of issues I have and had over the years. Bullying is a big one for me.

My high school diaries share a lot of bullying I experienced as a child. They are pretty adult themed. Just so you know.
    1) My High School Diaries Part one… https://crazywriterof6.wordpress.com/2017/10/26/the-darkened-halls-of-high-school-a-true-story/

Another of my favorites is my Ghost story. It really happened! So if you believe in Ghosts check it out. If not… Maybe it will be a nice read for you.
    2.) https://crazywriterof6.wordpress.com/2017/11/12/my-ghost-story/

I have a lot of poetry also… I plan on posting several more stories this year. Maybe some fiction also. Check it out if you feel so inclined.

      1. Your welcome and thank you for reading and commenting on them! Since I started the blog I am really enjoying sharing what I have written over the years. I never really thought anyone would be interested in reading any of it… 🙂

      2. I’m always shocked when anyone seems interested in what I write. I do it for myself as an outlet, and the people actually reading it have been a big surprising bonus!

  5. Hi Lacey – Happy Birthday! This is such a great way to celebrate and I’ve already clicked through and found so many great new blogs to follow.

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite post – but I decided to link this meatloaf recipe because I think it highlights both a recipe that I love along with a story of what meatloaf means in our family. The two goals of my blog – meals and memories!

    1. I really like the story with this recipe too. Also, using brussel spouts instead of green beans as a side? Brilliant. Nice way to change it up a bit.

I”m going to save the recipe. I was actually going to find a meatloaf recipe to try out in our new Instant Pot this week.

  6. Hi Lacey, nice to meet you. Here via Jamie’s blog. Happy birthday week and happy bloggiversary the week after this one!

So I am Astrid, 31-years-old and I live in the Netherlands, hence the tag line of my blog: “A Dutch woman blogs in English”. I am autistic and have several other disabilities, including mental illness. I write about pretty much anything I want. 1. Thank you, Lacey. This post has led me to some wonderful blogs through the comments. May I please do something similar on my blog with links back to your post? We are celebrating one year on the road and I thought it would be a wonderful way to celebrate with my readers as well as sending them back to your blog and original post. I won’t do so without your permission. It’s such a brilliant idea! Dawn

      2. Thanks so much! The year did fly by and we’ve grown from the whole experience. It’s totally changed our view of success, material possessions, and depths of friendships. The experience of seeing different parts of the country has been cool, too. I’ve been trying to do a yearly review, but it’s difficult putting the scope of it into words–the muse will hit when the time is right. Thank you for allowing me to share your idea! Dawn

      1. Lacey,
I have noticed many writers have taken their blog breaks over the holidays and to be honest, I feel as though it is well deserved, just think we post day in and day out; we need our days away as well. I believe it to be healthy if we wish to keep our sanity, lol.

      2. I need to learn to take proper weeks off as well Lacey, I might take your idea about taking week off during summer and holidays. I definitely don’t want to burn out because I love blogging, it is a passion and profession so I want to always put my best foot forward. It seems so many writers I have been following end up quitting & I think a lot of it has to do with wanting to do so much in the beginning and wearing yourself thin.

  10. Hi Lacey! I am not sure if you’re still taking submissions, but if you are I would love to share my Travel Tradition blog post. I’m Jenny and I started blogging in November 2017. I began Teacher Mom Talks as a podcast in 2016 and now have moved towards blogging and creating youtube videos. My background is in teaching but I have just recently been given the opportunity to stay home. Teacher Mom Talks keeps me entertained and provides me with something to learn new each and every day. It’s a journey that I am absolutely loving right now and look forward to continuing in the future. It’s been great connecting with you and I hope you enjoyed your birthday!
