Week in Review

Week in Review 2/2/18

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

A peacock. I stumbled across this article about someone being denied their emotional support peacock from boarding a flight. That’s right, someone wanted their peacock to board an airplane with them. Um . . .so. . .yeah. I’m all for service and support animals, but maybe this is a good place to draw a line?

2) What blog post should you check out?

‘Asperger Syndrome Is An Emotionless Disorder’ and Alexithymia. It’s a post from a grown woman with Asperger Syndrome first hand debunking the myth that it is an emotionless disorder. Take this opportunity to read and learn about a new perspective. It may even help you better understand someone around you.

**I had a Meet and Greet recently where I asked bloggers to share their favorite posts from 2017. I’m going to a highlight a post a week from the links left. If you would like to leave a link and have a piece highlighted on a Week in Review post, click here and leave it in the comments.**

3) What’s been going on this week?

Still under the weather. Guys, I’m struggling. I’ve been to the doctor, and I will get better. It’ll be a few weeks though. I probably won’t be posting much but will try to at least keep up with the Week in Review posts. I’m also WAY behind (and will probably continue to be) on reading your awesome blogs. I’m sorry, but I’ll catch up when I’m able to.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

I don’t know how this will work out. I’m hoping I some how get to rest while my kids are able to run off all their pent up energy.

5) Did you miss this post?

4 Reasons Why Sunday is the Worst Day for Restaurant Servers.  Since I just passed the 2nd anniversary of starting this blog I thought it’d be fun to go back and share my very first post. Any former or current restaurant workers here? Check this post out and let me know if I missed anything.

6) What did my kids create?

No big stage productions this week, but here is some of their artwork.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? Tell me, what are you up to this weekend?

  1. Oh, Lacey feel better! Sending you blessings of healing love and Light. Have you talked with your doctor? Would love to hear how things are going if you’d like to share (email me at weloveyou@forgivingconnects.com if you ever want to). Gorgeous art by your kids!!! Have a restful weekend…. I’m going to be reading a spiritual treatise that a student wrote for a doctoral program (beautiful) and getting a massage later on Sunday!
    Love,

    1. Yes, I saw the doctor last week. I’ll be okay, just will be needing rest for a few weeks. (And I was able to have a restful weekend!)
Oh that sounds fabulous. How was it? The massage and the treatise?

  2. Hey Lacey– I’m distressed that you are not feeling well– You have so much on your plate and I wish you just had time to put your feet up and just take care of yourself for a bit. Hopefully this weekend! The peacock thing is incredible!! If she had taken the peacock on for her comfort– I’m thinking that most of the people on the plane would be instantly uncomfortable! Take care friend. God keep you. xo

  3. I posted a comment earlier this week but it didn’t seem like it went through and I guess it didn’t?! I hope you have gotten good sleep, that you feel better soon, and your kids get their energy out! I totally know what you’re dealing with! My son hasn’t been sleeping through the night, I haven’t felt well, and my daughter was sick for like one day and all her energy was restored! Luckily, we got out of the house today and had a blast. Oh and my husband let me sleep in. Wooo! Hope your spirit, mind, and body will be renewed soon! I look forward to hearing how it went in your post next week!

  4. First of all, OMG that peacock article…. Life is sometimes stranger than fiction 😛

I’m sorry to see you are not feeling well. Take good care, take your time, and we’ll be here waiting 🙂 Sending you warm thoughts and a big hug!!

I just wanted to leave you the link to a little party I am having in The Cove… I decided to hold it during the week, because I remembered that you said you didn’t blog during the weekends 🙂 https://cyranny.wordpress.com/2018/02/05/week-party-in-the-cove/
