Week in Review

Week in Review 5/18/18

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

This article titled Woman Fired for bringing laxative-filled brownies to coworker’s send off. Really made me think twice about wanting to participate in any future potlucks!

2) What blog post should you check out?

Do you believe in ghosts? Check out the post My Ghost Story: A True Story on the blog Crazy Writer of 6. If you don’t believe in ghosts still hop over for a good read.

**I had a Meet and Greet recently where I asked bloggers to share their favorite posts from 2017. I’m going to a highlight a post a week from the links left. If you would like to leave a link and have a piece highlighted on a Week in Review post, click here to leave it in the comments.**

3) What’s been going on this week?

Whew another busy week. My new position has me hopping. I was late getting home from work a few nights. I came home to this sign on the door. My son thought he’d lost me!

4) What’s going on this weekend?

A garage sale. Am I crazy?! They always end up feeling like more trouble than they are worth. But my nesting hasn’t kicked in. I’ve had to force myself to spring clean and purge our house. We have enough for a little garage sale. Donating would be easier, but we’ve been saving for new living room furniture and floors. So a little extra money would be nice.

5) Did you miss this post?

Our Best Mom Fails. We can’t be at the top of our game 100% of the time, right?

6) What did my kids create?

A Rothko-esque hallway art gallery. They were very specific about where and how these paintings needed to be presented.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. I always cringe at the thought of getting things ready for a yard/garage sale, but then we always sell more than I expect and the influx of cash is nice.

  2. Ha ha ha!! Loved Lincoln’s sign– glad you showed up!! And we could use a garage sale about now. We’ve collected stuff in the garage that we don’t use, the hall closets could use a clean out!! And our student staying with us in about to leave and Can Not take all that stuff back to Australia!! Hmmm…. I think you’re inspiring me Lacey. How did you sale go?? Did you meet any neighbors stopping by– that’s usually fun. OK, It’s almost Friday again– waiting for your next post! hugs!

    1. Oh the garage sale was bust, but our house is purged. Plus I’ve found all the baby stuff and have a good idea of what we have and need. So that feels good. And you are right, we did get to meet a few neighbors. Pretty cool.
Oh my goodness what are you going to do with all the student’s stuff?!? I’m behind on my blog reading but hope to catch up ASAP!

      1. Hi Lacey– you’re right, it’s worth a lot just to have all the stuff out of the house! I was thinking we should have a garage sale with all Kendall’s stuff and throw in what we should get rid of– He could use the money to get resettled back home. And– fun to find all the baby stuff!! It’s been a while since you’ve had a baby in the house! Wish we could drop by with a few baby essentials for you!! xox

      2. Oh that would be nice of you to do for Kendall, and any of your stuff would just be a bonus.
I think we are actually all set on baby stuff. There might be a few tiny things, but I think we are good!
