Week in Review

Week in Review 6/15/18

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Prenatal Yoga with Riki Jones. I found these prenatal yoga videos on Amazon Prime that I am DIGGGING. Most of the other at home prenatal yoga stuff I’ve come across is 45 minutes to over an hour long. The people who make those videos have to be first time moms? There’s no way I can do yoga at home for an hour with the kids and dogs and everything else going on. I can barley do the 20 minutes ones. Besides being the perfect length though, these have also been challenging.

2) What blog should you check out?

Debbie at Forgiving Connects has been doing a happy-ness project this week. She’s been making it a point to rate her happiness daily and perform a “happy act”. The happy act she choose was to ask a person a day what forgiveness means to them. You might remember from my post My Forgiveness Friend and Coaching Session that forgiveness is something I personally struggle with. I think this is an important and interesting question. Let me ask you, what does forgiveness mean to you?

**I had a Meet and Greet recently where I asked bloggers to share their favorite posts from 2017. I’m going to a highlight a post a week from the links left. If you would like to leave a link and have a piece highlighted on a Week in Review post, click here to leave it in the comments.**

3) What’s been going on this week?

Working and crashing. I thought my energy was starting to get better, but this week has kicked my tail again. Over the passed few weeks by the end of the work day I felt wilted, tired but okay. This week by the end of the work day, I’ve crashed. . . hard. I have a doctor’s appointment next week. I’ll see if I’m just at the end of the second trimester type tired or if something else is going on.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

Father’s Day. I’ve sent all the dads in my life a little token of appreciation, but I’m still not 100% sure what do for my husband. Since he’s a stay-at-home dad I’m thinking getting the kids out of the house for a bit to give him some quiet might be a good gift? What are you doing for Father’s Day?

5) Did you miss this post?

Greek Burgers. May I suggest this as a Father’s Day meal?

6) What did my kids create?

A lofty goal. We enrolled in the library’s summer reading program, and they promptly made giant stacks of books (yes some are mine!) to get through.

There’s also been another arcade game made. This one is Nibbler. Ignore the floors, we are replacing some stuff around the house.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  2. Hey Lacey– OK, who thought of the name Nibbler?? I’m intrigued! And agree– what mom has 45 minutes to take time for yoga!! Glad you found a good yoga for you. And love summer book reading programs! Although I suspect, that means a whole lot of book reading that you’ll be doing!! I just think it’s the best gift you can give your kids. You’re amazing Lacey. And — hope you get some help/support at your check up. hugs!

    1. OH apparently Nibbler was an actual arcade game back in the day. I had never heard of it, but he saw a video about it somewhere.

It’s been hard at times because of my cough, but we’ve still be reading tons!

      How was your weekend?
