3 Things I’m NOT Going To Do With Baby #3

IMG_5568

It is 4:38 am. I am lying awake in bed 38 1/2 weeks pregnant, and yes the 1/2 matters immensely at this point. For several nights in a row now I cannot go back to sleep after my 103rd trip to the bathroom to pee. So inevitably I have started going through my mental mom to-do list.

With two kids who just started school and another on the way I thought I would feel overwhelmed. Surprisingly I discover I am not in bad shape as far as my ongoing mom list goes. While tossing and turning I wonder why I do not feel more stressed at this point  . . .

This is my latest piece published on the Oklahoma City Moms Blog. Read the rest by clicking here.

  1. Good morning, As always you have written and enjoyable post. It reminded me of my 2 children and my expectations of motherhood. It also reminded me how quickly the time flew by. As a grandmother now of a toddler and 7 year old, I am determined to treasure every moment I have with them. Be well and enjoy your darling children. Hugs from the West Coast, Lori

  2. Your advice to yourself is applicable to many things in addition to attending to a baby. Keep it simple. Do your best. Stop to enjoy. Heck, those are ideas that I need to apply to myself every day. Thanks for the reminder. Great article.

    1. Oh I’m honored that you’d send it to her. I wonder if adjusting to two has been been okay for her? In a way I feel like two was harder than the first time around. With one I could still load up and go go go. Two slowed me down and took adjusting.

      1. Hi Lacey– yep, it’s been a harder adjustment than she was anticipating. And she starts back to work tomorrow– It’s going to be another big adjustment. I think your perspective was so helpful to lots of moms! hugs from here!
