Week in Review

Week in Review 1/4/2019

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series, Week in Review, posted every Friday. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Russian Miner Spends His Breaks Taking Photos of Foxes in the Arctic Circle.   The miner actually takes pictures of all sorts of wildlife but finds the fox to be the most curious about the camera. Therefore they give him the best pictures.

2) What post should you check out?

I am a soup lover for sure, but French Onion is one that I have yet to master. This gruyere onion soup recipe on SnapShotsInCursvie looks yummy enough to almost make me want to attempt it again.

3) What’s been going on this week?

We found our feet!

Also we quietly rang in the new year at home with take out and movies and games. The kids made it to midnight. At 11pm I tried explaining it was the last hour of the year and asked them how they thought we should spend it. My son got worried and said, “Then what’s going to happen? Are we going to turn into stone?!” They ran around the house for an hour, found the countdown to be anticlimactic, and went to bed. Nobody turned to stone though.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

Since this weekend is sandwiched between the holidays, a few busy upcoming weekends, and the kids going back to school we are going to keep it low key. We are still trying to get the house back in order and ease into our routine.

5) Did you miss this post?

Next week be on the look out for a blog meet and greet I will be hosting. In the meantime check out my 2018 Year in Review.

6) What did my kids create?

Fix it Felix. Wreck it Ralph 2 inspired my son to make a Fix it Felix arcade game out of a cardboard box and a Fix it Felix custom.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Lacey, I love your son’s Fix It Felix! Look at the proud smile on his face. 🙂

And yay on finding feet! What a great photo 🙂 I love it.

I’m up to a bunch with my Self-Forgiveness and Money Group. On Sunday, I’m interviewing a master coach on how she got to where she is – she used to do operations for a coaching company, then turned into an Executive Coach, and NOW she owns her own business. So cool.

I’m also going to see a friend who lost her home in the Malibu fires. It’s a big deal and such a good opportunity to practice Self-Forgiveness, right?!!

I love you Lacey. Blessings to you and your family. Have a fun and low-key weekend – enjoy.

      1. Oh you’re a sweetheart, Lacey. I’m not sure. If you had something specific in mind, why don’t you send me an email? I love that you thought of it! Blessings to you, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  2. Fix It Felix!! Love it! And you have a knack for getting the sweetest, most expressive baby photos!! I take piles of photos of Oscar– mostly sleeping. And– that soup does look wonderful! (I think it’s the cheese!) Hope you have a nice low key weekend! We had a BIG family lunch for Larry’s dear parents, celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. SO many great-grandkids running through the house! It was a great day. Happy week ahead! xo

    1. 70th? I cannot even wrap my mind around that. What a milestone! How fun.

Yes the soup looks so good. Every time I’ve tried to make French onion though it doesn’t turn our right. Is that a soup in your repertoire? It is one of my favorites; so I just wait to order it at restaurants lol.
