I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
This Stray Cat Snuck Into A Nursing Home, and Got A Job. It doesn’t matter if you are a cat person or a dog person. Anyone can appreciate the first picture in this post of Oreo behind the desk. It’s the best.
2) What post should you check out?
7 Tips To Help You Land Your Dream Job. Did you know that I was a recruiter for about 7 years? It’s true. I tell you that so you can believe when I say the advice in this piece is solid. It also just so happens to have been written by my brother-in-law. Check it out.

3) What’s been going on this week?
Look for better images on the blog because the hubs got me a new phone for my birthday. I’m super excited about it.
One of my sisters used to live a few miles down the road from us. Last year she moved out of state, and it’s kind of been a hard adjustment for me. I loved having her that close and guess just thought she would always be nearby. This showed up on my doorstep this week. Needless to say, I have a new favorite mug.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
My work holiday party. It got postponed and is taking place this weekend at a trendy restaurant I’ve been wanting to try. We also have the inlaws coming in town to take us all to a Thunder basketball game. So loads of exciting stuff happening.
5) Did you miss this post?
Thank you everyone who participated last week in my Birthday/Blog Anniversary Meet and Greet. Reading all your comments and posts warmed my heart.
Each week I’ll be highlighting posts left in the comments of that meet and greet on my Week in Review. If you missed the party last week you can still hop over and drop me a link by clicking here.
Also, check out this birthday cake my niece made for me from scratch. So sweet (my niece and the cake)!
6) What did my kids create?
It’s a new year. So we needed a new calendar. My son got a drawing pad and art supplies from my mom and sister for Christmas. He turned it into a Nintendo calendar for 2019. Pictured are scenes from Centipede, Donkey Kong, and Mega Man.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?
– Lacey
Forgive me because we may have chatted about this before. Do you live in Michigan or your sister?? I am from Michigan.

I love these posts! I’m very excited for this weekend. We are going to have brunch with two ladies that are/have been co-workers with my husband tomorrow. Tomorrow night my former boss and his wife are visiting our house for the first time, meeting our dogs, and then we’re all going to dinner. On Sunday, my PEO chapter is doing our first-ever chili cook-off “fun”raiser while watching the NFL playoff game. I’m so excited about this! We are really close to meeting/beating our fundraising goal for this year. Plus, I’m making a new chili recipe!

Hi Lacey! Happy belated birthday again. 🙂 I love, love, love the mug that your sister gave to you. I can see why it’s now your favorite. And what a great looking birthday cake from your niece. Looks delicious!
I saw your comment that you got sick this weekend. So sorry to hear that. Sending you and your family lots of healing energy.
I went to an Ideal Scenes workshop this weekend. It was fantastic – we chose two areas of our life where we created a vision for what we want. And, we looked at any competing intentions that may block us from co-creating what we want. I think I’m writing a blog post about it tomorrow.
Lots of love to you Lacey!
Blessings,
Debbie
ps – this Thursday, I’m starting an amazing advanced coaching school. So looking forward to it.

Thanks, Debbie. I LOVE the cake and mug too 🙂 Yes! I had a sinus infection and then a stomach bug kinda hit everyone in the house like dominoes. I’m so glad it sounds like your weekend was better than mine! And I think that would make a wonderful blog post. I’m already curious to read it!
Today is Thursday. So good break a leg at your first day of advanced coaching school. How long will you be in that program?
