Week in Review

Week in Review 2/15/19

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Dot Dot Smile. There was a vendor booth for Dot Dot Smile at an event I attended last year. I’ve been following that vendor on social media since. The company sells dresses for little girls in the most fun prints that can be worn for dress up or everyday wear. I finally pulled the trigger to get my pink flamingo loving daughter this dress for Valentine’s Day.

I also got the baby a puppy print dress. EEK! Look for that soon!

2) What post should you check out?

It’s not technically a post, but it’s still worth checking out, the podcast Moola for Mom. Cami speaks with moms who are successful at running both a home and a business. I personally know a ton of moms trying to do a side hustle. I hope you find this helpful!

3) What’s been going on this week?

Whew. Another week that zoomed by. Home and work are still busy. Highlights though included these chocolate buttercream cupcakes from Trader Joe’s and puppy/baby bonding.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

After a busy weekend last week co-hosting a birthday brunch for my fabulous big sis I started having a migraine. I’ve battled that same headache off an on all through the week. So the hubs is enforcing a rest weekend for me.

5) Did you miss this post?

I’ve been revisiting a handful of older posts of mine that seem to still get viewed consistently for whatever reason. Here are Zucchini Boats with Meatballs in case you missed it the first time around.

6) What did my kids create?

Valentine’s. They decided they wanted pink flamingo and Mega Man Valentine’s. After failing to find any, I designed these in Pic Monkey, and the kids decorated them with stickers.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. I’m sorry you’ve been battling a migraine. *ick* I’ve had a headache off and on all week. I figure it must have to do with the temperature extremes we’ve had around here. Your restful weekend sounds like a good plan. Enjoy it. I might even do the same thing…

  2. sorry you have been battling a headache, is it an air pressure thing? I get headaches when there are big changes in air pressure. I have found that chasing excedine with a coke helps me. I love the valentines you made with your kiddos, so much better than just going and getting a set of store bought ones that everyone will already have

  3. Lacey, happy Valentine’s Day to you and your kids! Their valentines are wonderful. 🙂 🙂

The cupcakes look amazing (buttercream is my favorite), and how great to have baby/doggie bonding time.

How is your migraine? I hope you’re feeling better and get some good rest this weekend.

I’ll be coaching a bunch this weekend, which is exciting. And, I plan to go on a long run too. It’s been a little while since I’ve done that – I miss it!

Sending you much loving, Lacey. Have a great weekend.

ps – I’m going to do a Zoom intro class to introduce my Self-forgiveness and Money group. What topic would you find valuable? I was thinking “Making Peace with Your Money Story” …. or “Updating Limiting Beliefs about Money” or “Exploring Your Money Blocks”. If you have inspiration, I’d love to know.

    1. Hey Debbie! My headache I think my be getting better, thank you.
I hope I’m not too late to chime in about your money group. I like the topics you listed. I think I’m limiting myself based on my childhood and parents and what I’ve seen. I’d like to do better but don’t know how all of the time and also may limit myself because of that. Maybe others do that too? So anything about self limiting and why maybe?
How did your run and weekend go?

  4. Awe, the pink flamingo dress is adorable & oh my, so is that photo of baby & dog. ♡ I hope your rest weekend has cured your headaches! Those zucchini meatball boats look great, no wonder the post is still a hit. I love the Valentine’s you created for your kiddos. ♡
