I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
All About Cha. At first, it seemed like the menu was all over the place. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffees, teas, sushi, and desserts in a bistro atmosphere. It seems what they have they do very well though. I had the bulgogi breakfast wrap (for dinner) and tiramisu for dessert. I’ll be back. I might order the same thing… or the waffles… or the tempura sushi roll…
2) What post should you check out?
The child not the path on the blog Teacher Turned Mommy. We live in a time where the term “helicopter parent” exists. But why do we feel like our kids can’t fail? Why don’t we let them? And when they do, why do we feel like it is our fault? It’s a thought-provoking post about the changes and perceptions in parenting. Check it out.
3) What’s been going on this week?
We got a new mattress and pillows. That’s a game changer. Even though the baby still doesn’t sleep through the night I’ve been resting a lot better. Also, the hubs and I are slowing rewatching Game of Thrones in preparation for the final season. Besides that work has still been busy, and the kids are still adorable.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
After several weeks of just busyness and migraines, I feel like I need a catch-up weekend. Catch up on the house, laundry, blog reading, everything.
5) Did you miss this post?
Why I said “Yes” and then “NO!” to Labor & Delivery Visitors. Head over and weigh in on what your rule for visitors was.
6) What did my kids create?
Plans for a space rover. Google and Youtube have been SO helpful this week. The kids, out of nowhere, have had tons of questions about space. When my son learned a rover had been to the moon and Mars to explore he spent the rest of his week drafting plans for a rover to visit Jupiter and Saturn.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?
