I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
My sister, Gabby. She was deservingly honored as Mom of the Month for March 2019. You can read more about it by clicking here. Love you, Gabby!
2) What post should you check out?
That ride to see Southside with KP and Bake stirred loose my Springsteen moment on Mark Bializcak’s blog. It’s a fun post full of nostalgic imagery.
3) What’s been going on this week?
For weeks now I have obnoxiously been saying, “It’s another busy week. . . .”
The thing of it is I usually protect my family’s downtime, trying to keep us from getting overextended. But if I am being truthful, I feel extremely overextended doing just the bare minimum right now. I am bone tired every day. Between work and home I am doing 200 things but not a single one well. And I don’t feel like a good night’s sleep is going to solve it. I need a longer-term fix. I am not sure what the solution is, but I am looking hard at my days and evaluating what I need to do to get on track.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
Last weekend I rushed around getting a gift and loaded the kids up to make it to a birthday party only to find out we were an entire week early. So maybe we’ll actually make it to that party THIS weekend!
5) Did you miss this post?
Stamped Sweets Makes Any Occasion Special. Check out these customized cookies that we had a lot of fun with.

6) What did my kids create?
Everything Dr. Seuss. My kids’s school had a reading event, and they came home with armfuls of cooky, fun crafts.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

The Thing 1 & Thing 2 hats are perfect. Inspired, even. Last weekend was about the dullest weekend that ever was, but this weekend we have big plans here. Try not to be jealous, but we’re cleaning out the garage! ‘Cause that’s the way we roll around here in the ‘burbs!

Lacey!! I love this post. 🙂 You have such an endearing way of writing and sharing what’s going on. Thank you. Congratulations to Gabby, she must be very happy. And, I loved your blog post on the customized cookies. Those hats in the photo are incredible and adorable.
I’m catching up on emails this weekend. As I mentioned in another comment to you, I went to Austin last week. So now I’m integrating what I learned and experienced—and getting a massage! Self-care of course is massage and chocolate. 🙂
Bless you, Lacey. Just tagged you on a Facebook post I think you’ll enjoy. If you’d prefer, I’ll share the link to the post here so you can see it.
Love you,
Debbie

Any more thoughts on Austin since you have had some time to digest the idea?
