I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
This post, Autism’s Quiet Heroes: The Siblings. I have three kids. My 6-year-old son is the oldest and happens to have autism. Then I have a 4-year-old daughter and 7-month-old daughter. If I ever doubt God or God’s plan, I look at my children for a reminder. They provide a different kind of strength and support for each other than I do for them as a parent. I am thankful they have one another.
2) What post should you check out?
Dawn and her husband work from their RV and travel around the country full time. How neat is that? Her post How Do You Eat an Elephant? gave me a good laugh. Check it out.
3) What’s been going on this week?
I’ve been on a blog break for the last month after breaking my hand. I’m still in a cast but adjusting okay enough now to try to get back in the swing of things. It has been inconvenient but forced me to slow down some, which according to my husband I needed to do.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
An egg hunt and church…hopefully. You guys. I am embarrassed to admit that we have been to church once since the baby was born 7 months ago! At first, it was because she still doesn’t sleep through the night. So Sundays have been spent recuperating. Then the last month it has just been too hard to get three kids ready and loaded with my stupid hand.
5) Did you miss this post?
Before my blog break, I had been revisiting a handful of older posts of mine that seem to still get viewed consistently for whatever reason. Here is one of those, a Plum Print Review: Turning my kids’ art into a coffee table book.
6) What did my kids create?
Everything dinosaur. We’ve been on a big dino kick lately. There’s been dinosaur art, books, play, movies, and a trip to the Sam Noble Natural History Museum. Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?– Lacey
Glad your hand is getting better. Even breaking a toe is tough when you have lil ones! Luv y’all!

I’m happy to know that your hand is doing better. You make a great point about how each child and person has different strengths, so therefore embrace those strengths and appreciate them. Good luck getting to church on Sunday morning, this one in particular is always a crazy mess. I look forward to being at home on it, heathen that I am!

glad your hand is feeling better. life often has a way of forcing us to slow down and realize what and who are the important things/people and put us more in perspective.

Yes! Seems inconveinent, but maybe that is the silver lining.
