I Suck at Life Right Now

mistake-876597_640

I suck at life right now. Sharp, on-top-of-it me has been replaced with tired, forgetful me. I don’t know if this is temporary or just how I am now.

I returned to work a few months ago after having our third child. The first two times I went back to work after having a baby was harder emotionally; I was full of mom guilt.

This time, it is harder logistically.

This is my latest piece published on the Oklahoma City Moms Blog. Read the rest by clicking here.

  1. Sending virtual hugs Lacey. Yes, it can definitely be difficult. I really wish we had better laws in place for maternity and paternity leave here in the USA. I was reading a book and it mentioned how other countries have paid leave from 80-90% for maternity and paternity leave for up to 1 year.

6-8 weeks on average is simply not enough time to be off. It does not give us mothers enough time. I hope you kind find strength during this time and remember that you are amazing!

  2. I have only one baby and the old me has replaced the forgetful new me. I just don’t remember anything. At first I thought I’ll get better with time but now I think the opposite. I don’t even have the strength to go back to work. Talk about sucking at life but still I’m happy because i will get better soon.

  3. They say that awareness is the first step to anything. just know that you’re doing great in these circumstances and you’ll continue to do your best in the next set of circumstances. You’ve got this.
