I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Enid, OK. I know that might sound weird. Have you ever even heard of Enid?
If you follow me on social media you’ll know that thanks to Visit Enid and the Oklahoma City Moms Blog the ole family and I got to explore the town a bit recently. It ended up being loads of fun. They have a fantastic children’s museum that even has a wonderland playground. We checked out a kite festival and had an unbelievable meal at Napoli’s.
I’d recommend our exact weekend there for anyone else. Next time I’d like to go to the Railway Museum and this art installation, Under Her Wing was the Universerse.
2) What post should you check out?
Looking Outward on the blog Walking Through Life. I read this post several months ago and felt connected to it. I re-read it just now, and it is still just as applicable. I used to seek out opportunities to help and listen to others. Now I am very self-absorbed in my own family. This post is a beautiful reminder on a personally relevant topic.
3) What’s been going on this week?
Duuuude. May is nuts. Fun, but nuts.
There are field trips, awards ceremonies, graduations, class parties, IEP meeting. You name it, we have it on the calendar. I think I might be more ready for summer break to start than the kids!
4) What’s going on this weekend?
Mother’s Day! I’m not sure how we are celebrating. My mom though graciously helped out on our recent weekend getaway with the kids. Thanks, Mom, and Happy Mother’s Day!
5) Did you miss this post?
I Suck at Life Right Now. It’s true. It’s factual. I’ll get it together at some point.
6) What did my kids create?
Leonardo’s Children’s Museum has an impressive art studio. So we got to come home with new pieces for the fridge!
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?
– Lacey
that looks like a really cool children’s museum. I don’t think enough of these exist… places where children are told please touch, please pick this up, please explore…. I give you permission to be a kid.
And yes, May is such a crazy busy month, but it means that the slow of summer is just around the corner

May is busy for me, too. It’s like December when it comes to planning and doing, but while wearing lightweight clothes. Hang in there.

Lacey!! It’s so good to read your post. I think you’re doing great, it’s a big deal to be a mom. Three times over 💞 Have a wonderful Mother’s Day celebrating YOU. And, how cool that the kids did new paintings. I’m sure they brighten up the kitchen. ❤
I’m in NYC checking into places to live for a few weeks. I left my part-time position at a spiritual organization to do full time forgiveness coaching! Send your prayers my way. Thank you!
Bless you!

Hi Lacey! I’m in LA––and I’m leaving on Tuesday to go to Phoenix and possibly on to NYC again after that. (I keep checking out possibilities and will know when I get a green “inner light” 🙂 ).
I am sending you a whole lot of love, and a hug Lacey!! Know you have such a cheerleader in me. ❤
