Week in Review

Week in Review 6/14/2019

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Qwyneth Paltrow. Jon Favreau directed and starred in this movie I really liked, Chef. He missed hanging and cooking with Roy Choi who helped him train for the movie. So the two have gotten together and now have this show on Netflix, The Chef Show, where they cook, talk about food, and hang out with celebrities.

The show’s not good or bad. It’s okay. That’s not what got my attention though. What got my attention was guest Gwyneth Paltrow who swore she was not in Spiderman Homecoming with Jon Favreau. Uhhh, yeah she was. I watch the Marvel movies but am not a super fan. Even I know she was in Spiderman.

After browsing the internet it seems people mostly think this is cute and funny. Granted, it was just one scene, but I still found it weird. The movie has been out and she doesn’t know she’s in it? What do you think?

2) What posts should you check out?

Emily started blogging in December over at Emily Joyce Blog. She is an animal lover, and she is honest, like “I’m keepin’ it real” type of honest. Her blog isn’t staged for picture perfection. She is just “a human who wants to empower other humans to live their best lives.” BAM! Check out her intro post by clicking here.

3) What’s been going on this week?

Another busy week at work. The weather here has been unusually perfect though. The kids and dog and I have gone on many walks this week to soak it up.

Also, this little cutie pie started a dance class for the summer. This is our first time doing anything extracurricular. We’re pretty excited.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

Father’s Day! Let me tell you guys something. I am married to the very best husband who also just so happens to be the very best dad to our kids. Just this week alone he has fixed a bazillion things around the house including the (wait for it)  . . . AIR CONDITIONER!

The man saved us thousands of dollars. Also, he’s handsome. So I am going to see if I can find the best steaks money can buy and make him a meal fit for a king. He deserves it and more.

5) Did you miss this post?

I HATE getting my oil changed. Ugh. It’s that time again. My car needs an oil change. Who else loathes this task?

6) What did my kids create?

Since they are on summer break and home a lot, I know they’ve created exponentially more than usual. I also know my husband has it all picked up by the time I make it home from work. They have fallen naturally into a good routine of screen time, playing their tails off outside, then coming in and keeping busy.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. thanks for the reminder, I needed to schedule my oil change. I scheduled it for next week since the boys are at camp and I don’t have to drag them with me. I put if off longer than I should, always… I hate having to sit around and wait for it to be done. But, hey it needs to be done.

I’m glad your kiddos are enjoying the summer already.

      1. Just wait until you’re dealing with oil changes for your kids’ car! And new ball joints, and a sketchy transmission we hopes makes it, and a steering column something or other…all so he can drive to hockey….this is why I work 🤪

  2. I do actually think it’s funny she didn’t know she was in spiderman lol filming must be so close together and she probably just lumped it into her avengers memories. That photo from dance class is precious!

  3. Aww Lacey, what a great post! The photo of you taking a walk, and of your daughter in her first dance class, is so precious!!!

I hope that you all had a fantastic Father’s Day and that you found good steak. 🙂

I’m still in process of looking for my next home. I was in a Self-forgiveness and Money group that I’m offering, and I said a fantastic affirmation “I know that I am home, and joy fills my heart.” Anyway, that’s a big thing, plus I’m completing a coaching training school this weekend––a huge undertaking and win.

Sending you ever so much love, Lacey. Sounds like you are a little more rested?

    Blessings!
