I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
My cousin is one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. So you better believe when she wants to get together for lunch (or anything really) I am there. At her suggestion, we met at Social Deck + Dining, a newish restaurant on 23rd that serves brunch every day. So I was on board with the concept before ever stepping foot inside.
I stuck with a simple bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. While it was good, I actually couldn’t keep my fork out of my cousin’s dish, the chilaquiles. The flavor combination of the black beans, avocado, and chile de arbol was on point. I’ll be back, but next time, I’ll order what she had.
2) What post should you check out?
We’ve been collaborating with Fox 25 creating a handful of Back to School segments. This was a lot of fun, and we appreciate the opportunity.
Gotten lax over summer? Here are some tips on getting ready for the school routine.
This one is about reading together to prepare for starting school.
3) What’s been going on this week?
Back to School. It’s been a big week. We’ve had back to school night and the first day of school. We have full day Kindergartener and a 1st grader!
4) What’s going on this weekend?
It’s a surprise. No seriously, it’s a surprise. But here are some pictures from the big, joint birthday party from last weekend that was a huge success.
5) Did you miss this post?
A DIY Homework Station can be easy to put together and helps lower homework stress.
6) What did my kids create?
An All About Me Board. We got a project on back to school night for my son that was due on the first day of school! Kinda annoying. My son enjoyed it, and it turned out well though.
My daughter didn’t want to be left out. So she did her own “homework”.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?
