Week in Review

Week in Review 9/13/19

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

A full moon on Friday the 13th? Yep, that is happening tonight and won’t happen for another 30 years.  I’m not superstitious, but I’m also okay with grabbing my book and staying in tonight.

2) What post should you check out?

Recipe Reviews #77 by Hunida. Yes. Yes. One of the reasons I am sending you over there is because she was kind enough to make one of my recipes and then write about. I think that’s pretty darn cool. But also, her blog is a foodie’s dream. I can’t look at it and not leave hungry. Check it out.

3) What’s been going on this week?

The baby turned 1?!? The baby turned. I can’t believe the baby turned1. I’ll probably dedicate an entire post to this next week. So, for now, I’ll leave you with a picture.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

Recouping. The last 5-6 weekends have been busy, busy, busy celebrating birthdays, birthdays, birthdays. Between the kids’ school, doctor’s appointments, and work, this week has had me swamped. I’m tired. I’d like to read, watch some football, and quietly enjoy the family.

5) Did you miss this post?

White Bean Chicken Chili. It may still be hot, but it is football season. So here is another chili recipe for your game day viewing.

6) What did my kids create?

A mega amount of Mega Man levels thanks to Mega Man Maker. I hadn’t heard of Mega Man until my 7-year-old son became obsessed with these video games. He drafts his own levels on paper and has been trying to recreate Mega Man levels on Mario Maker. That is until my husband found Mega Man Maker, a platform made by a fan to create Mega Man specific levels on Windows. People can also upload the levels they make and check out other players’ levels. How amazing it is that something so incredibly specific to his interests exists.

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Thanks for the blog plug, Lacey!! I can’t believe your baby is already 1 now, wow, time flies!! Can’t wait to hear all about the birthday party. 🙂 We JUST made chicken chili a few days ago, dang it, I so wish I had read this earlier so we could’ve used your recipe. We definitely will check it out next time we are in the mood for it! Thanks for sharing! Love that Lincoln has found something so perfect for him, that’s beautiful, isn’t it?! ❤ Hope this week has been going well for you!
