I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Aldi’s baby food products. This has actually been getting my attention for longer than this week, but I just kept forgetting to include it on the Week in Review. My baby girl loves Aldi’s food pouches and baby snacks. Actually, there isn’t an Aldi close to our house. So a few times when we ran out we tried giving baby girl other brands of food. She wouldn’t have it. I know some people turn their noses up at this chain, but guys, even my baby thinks it’s worth checking out.
2) What post should you check out?
My friend in and outside of the blogosphere, Melissa, has been writing a series about business etiquette on the blog The Brown House. The most recent topic is office space. The whole series is worth your time though.
3) What’s been going on this week?
A big thing happened. We got the baby a pair of shoes. Since she’s been walking since she was 9 months old and is now 13 months old, you may be wondering why she is just now getting shoes. Well, I’ve returned about 8 pairs. It’s been a challenge finding any that are wide enough for her nearly square feet.
My mom ran around with us on Saturday though. She had me pull into Brown’s Shoes, threw 20 bucks at me, and told me they’d have some that would fit the baby. I was doubtful, but she was right. Wide didn’t fit her though! We had to go with extra-wide!
The baby doesn’t like to wear anything on her head. So I sort of just assumed she wouldn’t like anything of her feet either. She’s been really proud of her shoes though. She has been practicing walking in them (which is adorable) and carries them around or setting them in her lap when she’s not wearing them (which is also adorable).
4) What’s going on this weekend?
I have some surprises planned for the family. Stay tuned!
5) Did you miss this post?
Chicken and Biscuits Casserole. If you are looking for a comfort meal in one pan, look no further.
6) What did my kids create?
Lots and lots and lots of wood models. Between some kits that my son got for his birthday and making it to the kids building workshop at Home Depot, we have wood models of all sorts of vehicles coming out the wazoo.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?
