I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Sprouts. We shop at a handful of grocery stores, but Sprouts has never been one of them. A good friend told me about some specials they were running though. I scored a 9 lb Christmas ham for $16, and a catering tray we munched on for New Year’s Eve for about $20. I also impulsively bought some sushi trays that were on sale for $5. Everything was fresh and delicious. I probably won’t start shopping there regularly. There is one right by my work though. So I’ll be keeping an eye on their specials for sure.
2) What post should you check out?
This is actually a plug. My blog anniversary and my birthday are both at the beginning of January. So through next week I will be hosting a meet and greet to celebrate. I am going ask everyone to share links of your favorite posts from 2019. Then I will highlight those on my 2020 Week in Review posts. Check back tomorrow to start participating.
3) What’s been going on this week?
Everything and nothing. You might notice this Week in Review is a day late being posted. I’ve had off work for the last 2 weeks and lost track of the days! We have had the best time. We have thrown our schedules out the window and been sleeping in. If the weather has been nice, we play outside. If it is too cold, we’ve been inside cooking, reading, playing board games and watching movies. Before the holidays I was at a breaking point. I needed to rest. So this time off has been perfect.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
See above. We’ll stay on-trend with that. I’m curious to see if we are all rested and ready to go back to work and school next week or if we will all have a hard time getting back into the swing of it.
5) Did you miss this post?
Happy New Year! Be sure to check out the 2019 Year in Review by clicking here.

6) What did my kids create?
Handprint wreaths. We had some canvas that my mom gave the kids since we usually have some sort of art project in the works. The two big kids made a wreath out of handprints, and the baby’s fingertips prints made the holly berries. They gave one to each set of their grandparents for Christmas.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

I am in Sprouts every day. It’s a block away. That ham was a steal!

the wreath project came out really cute and I’m guessing the grandparents truly enjoyed getting this as a gift. I think everyone was off schedule the last few weeks. between Christmas and New Years sleeping in and relaxing is needed.

Thank you! Yes I think everyone loved the wreaths.
It has been such a great time, but I’m worried for next week. Will you guys have a hard time getting back on track?

we actually went back to school/work on Jan 2nd so we are now totally back in the swing of things. The boys did better than I expected. I think in many ways they were ready to get back to school and those routines

I love Sprouts! We discovered it last year & it is always our first stop for groceries now. They have so many awesome deals all the time! Not better than Aldi though, if you have one near you. 😛
Your 2 weeks off were so deserved & it sounds like you spent them amazingly– hopefully it wasn’t too hard for everyone to get back into the swing of things.
Love the handprint wreaths! Especially how they included the baby’s fingers, too! Adorable!
