I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Locke & Key. It’s a series that premiered on Netflix recently about a family that moves into their father’s childhood home after he has been murdered. The house is filled with magical keys that call out to be found by the kids. It is one to watch after the kids go to bed. It has the hubs and I hooked.

2) What blog should you check out?
Seeking Divine Perspective. Annie believes most of our problems start with having the wrong perspective and that having the right perspective can change whether an experience is gainful or not. She blogs about looking for the divine perspective, seeking to see things God’s way. Check it out.

3) What’s been going on this week?
Ugh. Sickness. Again. The kids and I have been sick, and the poor hubs has been left to take care of us all. Everyone is finally on the mend except the baby. Please send any good thoughts, vibes, and prayers her way.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
I’m not a big Valentine’s Day-er. Not for any reason. I’m married. So I guess our anniversary checks that box for me. My kids, however, get flippin excited for it. So we celebrate a little as a family. We usually have flowers, treats, and a pizza and a movie at home.
Sonic the Hedgehog comes out this weekend. My son has been following the production of it for about a year now. So there is no way we are not seeing that movie this weekend.
5) Did you miss this post?
Book Reviews: Someday, Someday Maybe, and Sous Chef and Because of Mr. Terupt. If you’ve read any of these I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Also, tell me about what you are reading now. Anything good?
6) What did my kids create?
The Dollar Tree deserves a shout out for these valentines that are perfect for my budding gamer and programmer. They even came with little controller erasers! Super duper cute.
My son had to bring Valentine’s mailbox to school for his class party. We wrapped an old shoebox in gift wrap turned inside out, then used some of the spare valentines to decorate it. Viola! It’s a pixel Valentine’s mailbox. It may not be Pinterest worthy, but it was made by him with a little help from me, which I think is important.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

I’ve not heard of Locke & Key. It looks like something we’d enjoy so thanks for the heads up. Our weekend won’t involve Sonic the Hedgehog, but it will involve a bottle of red wine. Thinking on it, your weekend sounds like it’s going to be more exciting than ours! Happy Valentine’s Day

Yay! It’s so good. My friend told me Joe Hill who wrote it is Stephen King’s son. I had no idea.
