I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.
1) What’s gotten my attention this week?
Himalayas. If you are in the Moore/Norman/OKC area, you are missing out if you haven’t eaten at Himalayas. Our book club meets there every few months. I can tell when it’s time to meet there again because I start to crave it. It is a small buffet of homemade, authentic and delicious Indian food. Just typing about it is making me want to go back.
2) What blog should you check out?
Yes, there is sun in winter on Mark Bialczak: What will I write about next? Mark is a writer but dare I say also an explorer? Or at least that’s the impression I get from his blog. He shares daily finds and observations and thoughts that are fun and interesting to follow. Check it out.
3) What’s been going on this week?
I don’t know. It was kind of a weird week. I was off Monday for President’s Day, but we didn’t do a lot because everyone was getting over from being sick. I’ve been swamped at work since Tuesday and have no idea what day it is at any given moment. On a positive note, I am following a weight loss program that my work offers. I have committed to giving up added sugar for 3 weeks. I was pretty proud of myself when I didn’t pick one of these babies up in the break room.
4) What’s going on this weekend?
A Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Our plans last weekend were foiled by the hubs getting sick. He was the last one of us to fall. So we owe the kids a trip to see the new Sonic movie this weekend.
5) Did you miss this post?
The History of Monster. I reference Monster a lot on my blog. If you haven’t already, read the story behind the legend who has been an unlikely companion to my son with autism.
6) What did my kids create?
Sonic the Hedgehog. Since they are so excited to see the new movie, they got on Art for Kids Hub to follow along with how to draw Sonic.
Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?
– Lacey

I agree that this has been a weird week. Something has felt off the whole time. I want to eat Indian food with you, it looks great. I didn’t know that Mark still had a blog. He’s been around almost as long as I have. Thanks for the link.

Yes, that place is SO good.
I wasn’t sure how long he had been blogging, but it does appear to be a loooong time.

I am so proud of you for cutting back on sugar!! It’s in way too many foods. Are you noticing that you feel better (more stable energy levels)? Or that things taste differently? The art lesson is an awesome idea!

Thank you, Kris! I haven’t noticed if things taste different, but the cravings for sweet stuff are going away. That’s pretty cool.
