Week in Review 4/17/2020

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

Betty Crocker’s Classic Eggs Benedict Recipe. I’m sure there are more sophisticated eggs benedict recipes out there, but I made this one all last weekend with our Easter ham. It was easy and oh so delicious.

2) What blog post should you check out?

Check out the Youtube Channel, Teacher Mom Talks. This one is with her husband, and they talk about their smart home. Interesting stuff!

3) What’s been going on this week?

Quarantine. Distance Learning. Remote Working. Repeat.

I am trying to be grateful that in this time I have a job, and I can work safely from home. It has been insanely busy for the last 4-6 weeks. I finish every day feeling completely brain dead. The kids are still being troopers with school from home though.

We also have so many amazing friends and family members. One set of grandparents left groceries on our door this week. Another set Easter bombed our front yard so they could still see the kids hunt eggs while they watched from their car. My sweet friend from book club has left cards and handmade jewelry for me. Other family members have been reading stories and poems to the kids on Marco Polo. My sister left goodie bags and hard to find groceries for us. We have the very best people in our lives.

You know what I have done back? Nothing. I have just been maintaining, honestly. I hope things will ease up this coming week so I can be thoughtful and reciprocate.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

If the weather is nice we will play our tails off outside and ride bikes and take walks. If it is chilly we will snuggle and cook and nap and read and watch movies.

5) Did you miss this post?

6) What did my kids create?

Sight word bingo. It is self-explanatory. We add sight words on sheets of paper and use plastic letters we have instead of dobbers. They love playing this.
