Week in Review

Week in Review 8/2/19

I hope everyone had a great week. Thanks for checking out my weekly series posted every Friday, Week in Review. Enjoy a recap of how the week went down, and tell me about yours.

1) What’s gotten my attention this week?

My Family. Not my kids and husband, even though they are awesome. But my sweet parents and siblings got my attention this week. They pitched in to give something I would never get for myself, a professional housekeeping service. We aren’t dirty, but we have kids and dogs. So yeah, it’s hard to stay on top of everything all the time.

An angel of a woman came over and busted her tail getting our house in a condition it hasn’t seen in years. (Sidenote: If you are in the Moore/Norman area and want her name, let me know.) It feels amazing! It smells amazing! Little spots on the walls are doors have been scrubbed away. Places I may only clean once a year are gleaming. I love it so much that we may just have to work this into the budget a few times a year…

2) What post should you check out?

Guys. Today is okay so far, but the rest of the week was miserable hot. Check out this Guide to Indoor Play in OKC. A ton of our favorite places made the list, including the library.

3) What’s been going on this week?

I am beyond excited to be collaborating with FOX 25 on a project. We got a big chunk of work done together this week. Stay tuned for details! In the meantime, hop on over and follow them on Facebook by clicking here.

4) What’s going on this weekend?

It’s been a busy week. I’m pretty tired. After this weekend our schedule ramps up again. So I hope to hit up a birthday party with the kids and take the rest of the weekend easy.

5) Did you miss this post?

Practicing Getting Younger Kids Ready for the School Morning Routine

How are you getting everyone ready to go back to school? What would you add to the list?

6) What did my kids create?

I think some lego robots and some sort of side by side comparison? A bunch of different versions of these pictures showed up on my phone!

Thanks for reading. How was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. That is so sweet your family pitched in for a cleaning service! It’s so easy to get drowned in other life stuff and not keep up with cleaning – and I live in an apartment so it’s way less work but still super hard lol

    1. It is hard! It’s all the little tiny stuff that doesn’t knocked back on a daily/weekly basis. Not the counters and sweeping, but like the floor boards and window sills. Apparently those little things make a big difference!

  2. sounds like a good week. While August is still summer it is when life starts to get busier and life a bit crazier. I hope you can slow down and enjoy the weekend, Can’t wait to hear about your project with Fox

  3. Lacey!! This is exciting. What are you creating with FOX 25? Email me––and let me know. 🙂 ❤

I LOVE that your family chipped in to help you with housekeeping. This is such a sweet gift and it sounds like she did a wonderful job.

I'm about to go to Bulgaria. I visit a new country almost every year with my spiritual organization, the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness. We do a peace tour. 🙂 This year, it's Bulgaria––wow! So excited, and full of gratitude.

I am so thankful for you, Lacey. You are a great mom. My own mother made a powerful impression on me, especially with her loving and caring. I see this on your face, and in your posts. Love you!

    Love,
    Debbie

    1. Debbie! Yep I’ll shoot an email today 🙂

Yes. Yes Yes! about the housekeeping. I had an idea that it was too indugent or expensive. Really it just helped us get caught up and made us feel better.

What?! Bulgaria! Debbie, you always have the best adventures. I can’t wait to see pictures and read about it. SO exciting.

That’s a big compliment coming from you. I’m thankful for you always too, Debbie.

Wishing you the very best week!
